Pilates Studio New Forest, Dibden Purlieu, SO45 4RA
Saturday February 14th 10 - 12
Southampton Yoga Association, Durley Memorial Hall, SO32 2AD
Discover my teacher Matthew Sweeney's gentle, yet comprehensive Moon Sequence (Chandra Krama). This is a flowing practice perfect for all levels, especially beginners. Unlike faster-paced vinyasa, this sequence focuses on deep hip opening, soothing the nervous system, and building internal awareness. It's a therapeutic, balanced (sattvic) practice that relieves tension in the wrists and shoulders while honoring your body's natural limits. Leave feeling grounded, nourished, and deeply peaceful.
The only prerequisite is that you must be able to kneel comfortably on your heels, even if this is elevated on a block and with a blanket under your knees.
The Art of Adjusting
New Dates TBC
This day is suitable for qualified Yoga Teachers as a CPD day, as well as serving as a taster day for anyone considering joining me for Yoga Teacher Training in 2025 as it will give you a good insight into what teacher training will involve.
We will start with an Ashtanga Yoga Practice so that you can experience both my teaching style and my hands on adjustments for Primary Series. A vegan lunch from The Tinker's Grandaughter will be included as part of the day and allows for time to chat and ask any questions you might have. Our afternoon will be spent on the Art of Adjusting - how and when to adjust and practicing this skill. I learned adjustments from my own teacher the renowned Brian Cooper, author of 'The Art of Adjusting' and have been practicing and refining my own adjustment practice for the past 12 years.
Spaces for the day are limited to 16 (double the amount for the actual Teacher Training Course). For anyone who goes on to book the Teacher Training Course the full cost of this taster day will be refunded upon receipt of your course payment or deposit.
